Draft 1 of a podcast — pre-launch

How to Get Good at Winning Failing

Two writers develop one real script in public, draft by draft, failure by failure — and turn every stuck moment into a tool you can use. The finale is the actual pitch.

Sunil Pappu · writer, India Avinash “Avi” Kapurala · writer, NYC

First episode ~October 2026.

The premise

One script. Ten episodes. No hiding the mess.

Most shows about writing talk to people who already made it. This one doesn’t. Sunil and Avi choose a brand-new idea on air in episode one and write it — live, in public, two weeks at a time — into a script they actually pitch in the finale. Every dead end stays in the edit.

How each episode runs

01 · The Failure

A real stuck moment

Something specific and current from the season script, or from the hosts’ own recent work. No hypotheticals.

02 · The Room

The live brainstorm

Sunil and Avi work the problem out loud, unscripted. Disagreement welcome. Dead ends left in.

03 · The Takeaway

A tool you can use

Named plainly, stated in one portable sentence, plus something to try this week — on a script or anything else.

Season 1

The ten failures, in order

Titles and tools only — no spoilers for how badly each one goes.
